The Spirit of Unity
What if there was no competition of jealousy in ministry? What if Senior Pastors honored the deposit of God
in one another's churches, sharing in their successes, rather than discounting their achievements? What if each
church and ministry had a unique and essential role in demonstrating the work of Christ's Church and His Kingdom on earth? If
this were so, then the world would see one church, rich in diversity, yet unified under the banner of Christ. This is
the Spirit of unity that OFU endeavors to keep.

The message of unity is at the core of God's heart and we hear it played out in chapter 17 of John
by Jesus Christ Himself "...Father I pray that they may be one even as we are one that the world may know..."
The Kingdom of God is on a bold new advance and OFU is a true witness of this advancement through the power of unity and authentic
Kingdom relationships. There is no greater need in the world today that is greater than the need to see people of diverse
backgrounds living together in unity and peace, transforming their city for the Kingdom of God.
The time is
now for the body of Christ to gather together as a family around the cross and around the feet of Him who has purchased us
out of every tribe and nation, sovereignly joined under the same banner of love. In Christ there is neither
bond nor free, Jew or Gentile, male or female, but oneness. We are all under the one banner of the Lord Jesus Christ,
in whom we have become one blood and one nation.
Many churches and ministries are making a real difference in families
and communities by demonstrating the role of the church in the world today. There is a renewed desire in my heart to
join with other Pastors and churches in our city to seize the moment in continuing the demonstration of unity among the churches,
to create something of great value for the entire city, making a lasting difference in the world. When the Church truly
becomes one, we will be able to speak to society and be a strong influence indeed. It is through this kind of unity
that we can have the power and Kingdom influence that God intended us to have, speaking to society in areas such as Government,
Education, Economics, Health Programs, or any other area of grave concern. We must continue to seek
God's face and divine impartation from Him that will move us forward in accomplishing His will. The actions of our
ministries in the days ahead will speak louder than our words. Let us agree together for the Lord's will on
earth as it is in heaven as we look forward to the continuous unfolding of God's magnificent destiny for our lives, congregations,
and our city. "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity....for there
the LORD commanded the blessing, even life forevermore" (Psalm 133:1,3)
